Softpepper DVD to iPod Converter is a basic DVD to iPod converter program. It's fairly easy to use and converts DVD's without problems. We found the conversion speed to be about middle of the road. It wasn't real fast, but it wasn't terribly slow either. The program did tax our test computer (Intel duo core 2.93 GHz. with 1.5 GB of RAM), making the use of other programs while converting quite difficult. The program offers basic adjustments such as the ability to choose the destination of the converted file. However it lacks many other adjustments that users may find important. It does convert to a resolution which can be used with Apple TV, and it does offer the ability to convert audio tracks to MP3 (we didn't test either of these functions).

While it has what looks like a preview window, it had no function and didn't display any video picture. The help function was next to useless as it connects one to the site's FAQ page which had only one question: 'what are the system's requirements'.

Softpepper DVD to iPod Converter is a basic entry level program with limited features and adjustments with a poor help section. However it is priced below the competition.

Choose the location and title of the DVD movie.

(in our for some reason it chose a trailer as well) -
you can choose to add or delete as you wish.
