The Xilisoft DVD to iPod Suite is a well laid out program that's fairly easy to operate. The program automatically pulls in the DVD chapters (once you choose the DVD title from your computer's directory) and selects them all by default. We un-selected the extras leaving the main movie which was 109 minutes in length. We ran two conversions, one to MP4, and one to MP4 640X480, and in both cases the conversion speed was remarkably slow - actually slower than real-time. We also had problems with the converted video's playback - in both cases the audio was perfect but the video played back with consistent jitters. We also found the preview window to be quite small.

Overall we were somewhat surprised the Xilisoft DVD to iPod Suite performed the way it did. They are a well known and popular company... we will re-test soon, and see if perhaps we just had a bad day.
