Here's how Aniosoft iPod to Computer Transfer works

Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
Select the iPod you want to transfer files from (located below DEVICES).
Make sure to click Enable disk use (in the Options section).
*All iPod to computer transfer programs require these steps.

 

We received an error message when we first opened the program.
We managed to get it working and continued on.

 

After the program is opened, it scans your iPod. (for some reason it refers to everything as iTouch - we used an 8G Nano)

 

Select the files you want to copy to your computer
and click Backup.

 

Your files are now in a folder on your computer.

 

Aniosoft acts as a good basic program to copy files from your iPod to your computer. However, we found  the software to be buggy. On several occasions we had to click two or three times to get things working, and the Folder Tree to the left of the program rarely worked properly. Perhaps future upgrades will alleviate the problems.
